Information Event of Status Quo and Perspectives for Smart Mining in China was held in Beijing

The information event of status quo and perspectives for smart mining in China, organized by German competence center for mining & mineral resources is successfully held in Beijing on June 29 in DRC Liandmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building. The event was also broadcast online, which draw attention of more than 60 professional audience from countries like Germany and Mexico,etc.

Fu Enshan, representative of emergency ministry of China Coal Information Institute illustrate about the status of informatization and automation of coal mine in China. In order to thoroughly implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's new energy security strategy of "four revolutions and one cooperation", accelerate the supply-side structural reform of the coal industry and promote the integrated development of intelligent technology and the coal industry, on February 25, 2020, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and National Development and Reform Commission, the National Energy Administration, emergency department, the state bureau of coal mine safety, jointly issued by the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education of the guiding opinion on accelerating the development of intelligent mine, by adopting comprehensive policies and measures to enhance the level of intelligent mine, promote the development of coal industry with high quality, promote transformation and upgrading of the coal industry.

Since March 2020, Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Guizhou, Shaanxi and some other provinces successively issued implementation opinions for the intelligent construction of coal mines. The emergency ministry publish Three-year Action Plan for National Safety Special Rectification in April 2020, aims to improve the mechanization, informatization, automation and intelligence level of coal mines. The number of intelligent mining faces will be increased from the current 280 to 1000. This part of the coal mine production capacity will account for a billion to 1.5 billion ton. There is no doubt that with the gradual application of new intelligent technologies such as industrial network, cloud computing, big data and 5G to the daily work of coal mines, the intelligent process of coal mines has promoted a lot.

Professor Feng Maolin is invited to deliver a speech as A Future of Intellectualization and Electrification for Mining Equipment in China in English. He talks about the smart mines for Intellectualization(architecture of smart mines, digital production management, driverless mining trucks, autonomous fleet management on cloud, 5G＋visible remote control in underground mining, etc.), greener mine for electrification, and illustrate the efforts and achievement of electrification by RIMEA till now. Prof. Feng believe that the next 5-10 years will be the outbreak period of intellectualization and electrification for mining equipment in China, and the introduction of a series of relevant national policies will also accelerate this process.

At the Q & A session, Mr. Fu and Prof. Feng gave kind and professional answer to all the questions and won fabulous feedback.

This is the first time German competence center organize such events both online and offline.
